Gong Xi Fa Cai – Celebrating Chinese New Year!

chinese new year

A couple of things are coming to mind as this blog is being posted.

  1. We had a great time celebrating the Chinese New Year with fellow RCS parents. The International Parents Committee did a great job and we thank Mingyuan & Shanming for hosting. Best Chinese food ever-delish!!! We practiced Mandarin in between bites. Try it…Gong Xi Fa Cai – Happy New Year!
  2. One of the many re-posts of Jaime-Jin Lewis’ blog, 5 Myths of Talking About Race with Your Child, was from an organization of parents out of the Bay area know as PAASC – Parents of African American Students Studying Chinese. Their motto …

“Tomorrow belongs to the people who prepare for it today.”

PAASSC encourages and supports families through their journey in raising bilingual children.

Is language immersion important to you? Let us know what you or your children are studying. Better yet, let us know if you are interested in a support group like PAASC.
