Chapin POCC Hosts Eve of Money Making & Korean BBQ

Chapin POCC Eve

Chapin POCC Eve

RIISE was invited by Chapin’s Coordinator of Community Life and Diversity, Alile Eldridge and Parents of Children of Color’s Co-Chair Jaime Kim Ross to participate with Chapin as they looked ahead at summer opportunities for our kids, networking, and making Korean BBQ.

It was cold out, but we walked in on a warm and vibrant crowd of parents of color sitting forward as Sabrina Lamb, CEO of World of Money ( described the empowering summer Youth Financial Education Institute where the focus is: learn, earn, save, invest and donate. From consumers to legacy keepers and game changers. I’m signing my kids up!

It got even warmer in the cafeteria where an even larger crowd of diverse families sat forward as Jaime put on her chef hat and showed us how to prepare her spicy recipe for Korean BBQ-delish! Jaime was then kind enough to introduce RIISE to the everyone. Realizing that I stood in between the crowd and a wonderful dining experience, I kept it short and sweet expressing how excited RIISE is to support Chapin.

This is an amazing school community of girls, their families, admin and faculty working hard to make the community inclusive of diverse experiences and members.
