Walk the Talk – Anti-Bias, Anti-Bullying Program


Walk the Talk participants learn to speak up and take action against bias, social cruelty, bullying, and exclusion. The Walk the Talk curriculum focuses on:

· SELF AWARENESS and the cultivation of a positive self-concept and group identity

· CRITICAL THINKING about bias and stereotypes and their impact on relationships and communities

· SKILLS to set boundaries and communicate powerfully and respectfully

· COURAGE to address social cruelty and exclusion and to advocate for each other as allies in creating a caring and inclusive school culture.


6-hour program in 2 sessions of 3 hours each, no cost for registration

May 18 and 19 morning sessions (students would attend both mornings)

May 18 and 19 afternoon sessions (students would attend both afternoons)

We have 40 places available for 6th and 7th graders, on a first come, first served basis. Parents can contact us directly for individual children’s registration (212-255-0505 or prepareinc@verizon.net). Class will be held at Prepare, 147 West 25th Street, NY NY 10001.
