12th RIISE Fall Boutique Recruitment Event

10.17 - rsvp: https://riisefbre21.eventbrite.com

We wish we could gather in person, but we're not there yet. But, this season RIISE is purposeful about creating a more intimate and meaningful virtual setting for families and schools to engage.

We are keeping our signature keynotes and parent advocate workshops while adding an "Invitational School Fair," a unique experience where small groups of intentional parent/guardian reps meet with school reps for robust engagement during fifteen-minute intervals. All registrants will be encouraged to ask great questions not commonly found on a school's website, encouraging parent engagement from the beginning!

Take a look at how this will work...

After registering, RIISE will invite parents & caregivers to select a session to join virtually in small settings with schools they are most interested in engaging. In advance, schools will receive your name, contact info, and a brief profile of who registered for sessions.

What happens next...

After registering, you will receive important updates along with invitations to select participating school sessions to join on 10.17.

The Agenda...

2:00-2:45 p [Welcome Keynote Discussion] Communicating & Activating Belonging: Keys To Thriving In Independent Schools RIISE Founder Gina Parker Collins will be in whole disclosure discussion with indy school rock-star, Jan Abernathy, Director of Strategic Communications at The Browning School, to ground the independent school experience and opportunities for Black & Brown families, and their scholars.

3:00-5:30 p [Invitational School Fair] Harnessing Voice & Visibility! Registered Parents/Caregivers will virtually join their school sessions. Your session time will offer you the opportunity to ask what it is YOU need to know about how Black & Brown SCHOLARS achieve social, emotional, and academic success in private school communities.

On-Demand Parent Advocate Workshops The week leading to the event, and in collaboration with Parenting While Black, RIISE will deliver 20-minute on-demand workshops for parents and guardians to use as tools to position themselves and their scholars for independent school experiences and legacy as they apply and enroll.
